Well, it has been 4 days since Hurricane Ike made landfall. Here is a timeline of the last 4 to 5 days.
Friday - lost power at 7:30 p.m. (in the middle of watching Dexter season 2)
Saturday - Hurricane makes landfall. The wind was horrible and then the rain came. We woke up and saw roofing shingles in our front yard. Luckily, they were not from our house. We only had one shingle flip up and our back fence was starting to lean. (Mark has already fixed it). We got our power back around 7:00 p.m.
Sunday - Power goes back off. Luckily, a cold front started to blow through. Power comes back on mid-afternoon. Eleanor, Rene, and the boys came over. They had no power or water pressure.
Monday - Mark worked on my puppet theatre for school. I cleaned up the flower beds and worked around the house. My parents and my sister's family came over for dinner (both households do not have power). Smoke detectors go off at 11:30 p.m. for no reason.
Today - Mark and I got our Internet back and started our homework. Made a road trip to Sealy to get out the house and find a grocery store with food.
As of this morning, my sister will probably not have power for another 2 to 3 weeks. My parents also do not have power. My brother also does not have power; he lives in Madisonville - the whole town does not have power. We have been freezing water in ice cream buckets so they will continue to have ice.
Mark does not have to report back to school until Monday, September 22nd and I do not report back until Friday, September 19th.
I know that the picture has nothing to do with the Hurricane, but I thought it would make you smile. Every time we start the water in the tub, Bear is trying to jump in and go for a swim.
Please keep my family in your prayers.

I was wondering if Ike was going to hit you guys. But it sounds like it you weathered the storm pretty good.
